OMBU-X??

I'm looking at purchasing a 5W OMBU unit at a pretty good price. For owners of this and other models, how is it built and how is the beam quality?

I have the X-33 3-Watt and the build quality is great! If you have a Q3 it's just like that. The reflector appears to be the same too. I just blew it using rechargables though.

Where are you getting the 5W and for what cost? I may be interested. I like the light a lot but am concerned with the bin color.

I have the Ombu X-55. It is almost exactly the same as the Q-III and although it is brighter it is not a lot brighter. There isn't as much of a hot spot but the spill is much more complete and even. I really like this light and carry it every day for work. If you have and like the Q-III then you will like this light.

I've been waiting for a killer deal on them. I saw 'em for just under $100 the other day but still looking.

I was going to buy it (X-55) from Glowbug.com for $96.90, but that price was only good for 72 hours. Oh,well.
