Opalec Newbeam in PT Matrix?

Anybody tried installing the Opalec module inside the PT Matrix halogen bulb module (probably the most useless module ever designed!)? The PT module easily takes apart, both units requires 2 AA's, both turns on by screwing the bezel down... The base of the PT module will accept cylinders up to 20mm and if the reflector is not used could fit a cylinder height of 20-25mm Since the PTM is designed to last 40 hours and the Newbeam 10, it follows that you would get a much brighter beam?
