What's your opinion on these cells? I have them and they hold a charge quite well for use by my unscientific methods. They also give my Mag31/85 very reasonable run times. So they can stand the drain. Another good point is that they look nothing like alkalines. Are they just getting bashed because of the 2500's reputation? Or does testing show these are crap?

I sent a couple to silverfox... By Seamail accidentally.

I'm interested in this too, I was planning to use them for my Mag ROP...

I've seen reports of them crapping out like their forefathers. High internal resistance and high self discharge after just light to moderate use.

Interesting. Got a link? I have accidentally shorted them out and they still maintained 40 milliohms. Crapping out is something you don't want them to do under 3+ amps.

Im interested to hear how any testing goes on the 2450's. Ive got a bunch and so far they are good!

The only 2500's ive got that are failing are from 2005 made in japan stamped 8-05.

I have been using then for several months in my TK40, however instead of the 15 minute charger (charges them in about 23 minutes) I am now using a MaHa C9000 to charge them. Wont take very long before they pay for themselves so if they crap out I will just replace them...with better cells.

I have a few of these and have nothing bad to say.
I have charged and discharged them about 10 times each and a analyse on the Maha C-9000 with a 500mA drain gives over 2300mAh.

Even at 1A drain they give close to 2300mAh.

The discharge rate is unknown at present, I use these in my camera when I know I am going to take photo's the next day. They give more power than my LSD cells if fully charged.

I bought a set of the Energizer 2450mAH NiMH batteries for a bike light that takes 4XAA batteries. The discharge rate isn't all that high with this light (around 500mAH) so I'm not pushing them or anything. So far so good. I've had these cells for about 18 months, now, and have put them through numerous charge/discharge cycles and they're working just fine for me.

The bottoms are stamped "HR", so they're probably rebadged Sanyo 2500's. My experience with the Sanyo 2500's is that they are initially very good, but then after a dozen or so cycles, the self discharge and internal resistance become terrible. Time will tell if these Energizer 2450's are any different.

I have 4 of them and each has only had 5-6 cycles. I use them in these lights, and thus far I have not noticed any signs of self discharge or high internal resistance. But these lights are in constant use/rotation, I seldom let them sit dormant longer than ~3-4 weeks
