I have a Mini Maglight AA battery flashlight. I'm considering replacing the bulb with the luxeon 1 watt led. What do you all think? How will the brightness compare to the original Maglight bulb?

If you mod it with one of Wayne/dat2zip's modules, the resultant output is comparable to a Mag 3D light!

Please remember that you are talking about a AA MiniMag with a n incandesent bulb vs one with a LED. Measured with a light meter, the incandesent will be brighter when focused to it's tightest beam.. The LED conversions really don't focus and certainly not as tight as an incandesent.

Go for a LUX3!!! It is difficult to get a 1W with good tint!

Wayne's Sandwich Shoppe and Lambda both have lux3 modules.

I wouldn't take $100 for my Lambda! (Which incidently focuses pretty tight or floods GREAT!)
