- Which has better throw?
- Which smooths the beam better?
- How's a combination of both?

1)It all depends on the reflector, if the original reflector can throw well, then using a LDF will clear up the beam, if the original reflector can't throw well, and you put a OP reflector in, it's another type of beam entirely

2)Both smooth beams, but I believe going heavy on either one will smooth the beam more.

3)Combination of both will result in a rather flood beam I think.

My opinion is, an orange-peel reflector will throw more than using a LDF lens. The LDF diffuses a bit to much for my liking. Too much on the flood side for me. Using both gives a bit more flood on top of that, just like Nerd said..

I Krylon sputtered a Mag reflector which will throw way more than a un-sputtered Mag reflector w/ LDF. My sputtered Mag reflector even out throws my PMR/OP but the PMR has a bit more nicer looking beam. It's a toss up between the two, I like em both.
