osram mini dulux lumens output

i have a osram mini dulux

with 2 ni-cd batts it absorb about 460mah, so the 3W lamp run at max 2,4x0,46=1,104W but we must consider a bit of inefficiency of the circuits

so the output how can be? 30 lumens? 50 lumens?

Not even close. From a tube like that, do not expect more than 20-25lm/W (my guestimation). And these low voltage input el cheapo converters are not too efficient...

I will measure it as soon as I have the possibility...

my 5 watt radioshack version draws 1 amp from alkaline aa's

still not 5 watt

i have re-make a test with 2 fresh of charge ni-cd batts...

i turn on the light and wait 20minutes for full warm-up of the lamp...

i read the tension of the batts under charge 2,4v (i think 2,75 without charge) and the consumption of 920mah

so 2,4x0,92=2,208W

considering an efficiency of 20lm/w is 44 lumens...

i see also the osram dulux pocket, i think is the new version of the mini dulux, but i don't know the improvement of this lantern

someone know something more?
