Well I didn't take my Lunasol out and "roll it down the driveway" or slide down the highway on it - just dropped it on the concrete. Oh well. At least now I don't have to ship it back to Don so that he can add unique marks to it.

The damage isn't serious. A tiny burr on the tail (about 2 minutes with a Dremel) that is tactilely evident but barely evident visually. Like Don taught us, I think of my lights as tools so as long as it comes on, I'm good. I'll have to get my camera from the car later and post but I don't know how to post photos here. Can you advise?

I use photobucket.com

You can create a account and upload pics from your computer. Pretty simple.

Anywho, if you EDC anything, dropping it is part of life. poop happens. :D

Congrats on your first drop. Dons lights can take em, trust me. When I go to my brothers house, I let my 2 year old nephew use my Ti PD-S on a concrete pool deck. My 03/07 wave Ti PD-S has seriously been to hell and back. It still looks great. All the scratches end up as the lights patina. :twothumbs

My Milky updated HDS's all look "pre-owned" but still WORK great. The one I carried most has the HA III worn off all the high points. On my Lion Hearts and Lion Cubs I cut a small groove by the switches and put a H3 vial covered by a lump of epoxy to help me feel/see the switch in the dark. So as you can see, if I ever decide that I don't want to fool with flashlights any more (fat chance) I'd be lucky to recover ten cents on the dollar but no matter. They've been used and enjoyed and are still used in some capacity since I have at least one flashlight in every room in the house plus some in the car.

That first scratch is always the toughest. I dropped my LS20 last week on a concrete sidewalk and left a booger on the tail chamfer. When I get a chance I'll file it off smooth. It seems I drop lights often enough that I'm totally okay with it when it happens now.. .

Heckboy,

I'm pretty much the same. When PoliceScannerMan drops his Spy 007 for the first time we'll all feel his pain but as long as it isn't dropped overboard in the Mississippi River like I did my cell phone a few months ago, life will go on.

Yup, been there, done that! Sand, dirt, asphalt, and my all time favorite...concrete. Great thing is that these lights just keep working. Kinda like those Timex watches..."Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.".
