P1DCE throw compared to newer lights

Hi, been off CPF for over a year...my wallet has loved that...and just been checking out latest and greatest. I have various lights from LODCE, Jetbeam CLE, just sold a Mag64 (decided to go all LED), etc. I just love the throw and perfect spill of my 2 year old P1DCE running rechargeables. According to flashlightreviews the lux is 2700. In some quick searching it appears newer lights won't give that much more if any throw, they just have more lumens..spill...is that correct? I have ordered a Raw and wee and looking to maybe get couple other budget lights, maybe be tempted for higher end. For example the DX Trustfire Tr-801. Compared to my P1DCE, would it have about the same hotspot/throw, just brighter spill and of course longer runtime. It sucks that P1DCE on rechargeables just runs on high. Also looking at the MTE M3-2 MC-E because reviewer said it has like 15000 lux. I think this would work out great on my boat. I noticed the modded Trustfire for sale with P7's but I am trying not to think about it with being on sort of budget now after Raw/Wee purchase.
