P61 for first time, WOW!

P61 arrived today. WOW! I got home from work after dark. Found an excuse to go back out to the truck (home of 6P) and swap lamps. Shined the light at a few trees, no challenge. Shined the light straight up. Followed a bat around with the beam until I got tired of it. That's a lot of light from a small flashlight. I can't imagine what it is like to have one of the big guns. I guess I'll be cutting up some more 223s soon.

RevJim, I was the same way when I first saw a P61, or any serious high-power small flashight. Unfortunately, over time, having a light in the 100-110 Lu range became somewhat common, and I wanted and needed more.

I know what you mean. I just bought my first (real) flashlight an M3. All I've had before were maglights. I've had it a week and I'm already used to it, and need more. Looking for scary power.
