P61 Runtime Test w/ SF123A.

Can anyone tell me what happened to the brightness after the first thermal shutdown? I let the light and batteries (very hot) cool for a few minutes before starting it back up. Also, any suggestions to get a more accurate runtime? Tomorrow I will try Kodak 123A's if time permits.\

link says it's a pic, but extension shows up at .txt and converting it to .jpg doesnt work either or is it just me?

Looks like the batteries recovered a bit after being rested. Im not sure what the heat/cool cycle would do to a battery.

Are you using Internet Explorer? If not then you can right click, save the file then change the extention to jpg.

This particular thermal shutdown occurred in which body? In an e2x body or in a P, C, Z, or D body?

G2Z. Im just wondering how the 10 minute mark and the 12 minute mark could change so dramatically. Does anyone know if thermal shutdown will happen with a P60? Id like to do the same type of test, but from 0-60 minutes nonstop.

A P61 running in a G2Z should not exibit any thermal shutdown. The light was designed to handle this OEM setup an running for the entire life of the cells.

Perhaps your light was resting on an insulated surface or was confined thermally in some way?

It was resting on top of a TV.
