Are there any AC drivers for the P7? I've searched CPF and google and haven't found anything.

If not, what are some ways you have come up with to drive higher power led's (MC-E / P7) off AC.

Thanks.

Hi,
this one doesn't supply the full 2.8 amp potential but it's the only one I can think of at the mo http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.14034
I've been using pc power supplies and either suitable drivers or resistors. The power supplies are cheap (if not free) and easily up to the job. Just ground the green wire to the case to get them to work and pick whichever colour cable suits the voltage of your application, 3.3v,5v or 12v.

What about if I put that 2 amp one in parallel with this one:

That would give me 2.7amps.

I like the computer PSU idea (I even have a few laying around), but I'm worried that it would be very inefficient at such a low load.

I was under the impression that switch mode power supplies coped well with different situations. The power supplies I've been using certainly don't get overly hot when in use even when driving an mc-e for hours at a time.
