I recently purchased an Ultrafire WF 1200L, mostly for looks as I know there are much better lights. First time firing it up (after I shielded my eyes and dusted off the layer of ashes from my exposed skin ) I noticed the color tint was something I have never seen before. It appeared to have a very slight greenish tint to it. Now, I have an Elektrolumens ultrathrow and several MCE lights, and I have never seen a quad die this color before. Most are bluish to white, then into the warmer q3/4 tints. Anyone know what this is?
Back to the flash burns: This thing is a MONSTER:devil:, and I mean in more ways than one. First, it is HEAVY and solid. It has enormous output and puts out more light further than my M30 Triton, DBS MCE, and my Ultrathrow. It even has good throw, illuminating a tree about 250 yards away better than my DBS with a Q4 emitter. This is, of course, not a technical testimonial, just a good old eye test. My biggest complaint is the reverse clicky. In my opinion, a rear mounted switch by its very nature (there to be "tactical") should be a forward clicky with momentary on. Regular switches should be mounted on the sides of light bodies. Just my $.02.
