Panasonic Batteries

I know this probably not the right place to post this so mods please move if need be, not sure where the battery forum is located.

My question is; How do these batteries compare to SF and do they have the 10 yr shelf life like SF. Do you think these will be newer stock or will they be the old stuff. I just asking because it is a really good deal and Panasonis is SF approved. Have you had good luck with Batterystation?

I was told that Panasonic produces all the CR123 sold in the US and produces them for the big name companies (Surefire included). So long as your batteries are made in the US and you buy from a reputable dealer you should be fine.

Regarding the 10yr shelf life just like Surefire, I don't know.

It would be nice if someone had some Surefire, Panasonic, Duracell, Energizer, and other cr123 batteries that were ~9yrs old so they could be tested to see how each brand really held up.

That Panasonic deal is really good, I would call/email them to see what the exp. date is.

Panasonic makes the SureFire batteries. Panasonic is an excellent brand, I use the primary 123a's for all my lights I depend on.

Never had much luck with Panasonic batteries in AA or AAA format,nothing bad about them but had a longer working life by choosing my batteries on a deal price like duracell etc where I get longer times before a change is needed.

The batteries forum is a few down from this one (and you've posted there, before).

They're good cells, on par with all the others (especially since Panasonic makes all the others, if they're U.S. manufactured lithium 123's).

I went for the 50 CR123's (Panasonic) for $60.00 from battery station. They told me they sell more of these batteries than anyone in the United States, so they should be "fresh" batteries.

The SF bug has hit me and I didn't want to be caught without batteries so I went for it! :thumbsup:

The fake Panasonic cells from China may be marked "Elestric" instead of electric. Use the Google search at the top of your CPF page and search on the keyword elestric. You will find several references.

I would like the think that a company that is offering this special to CPF members only would not sell fake Panasonic batteries, they have a good following around here so I'm sure they will be gtg.
