Does anyone know a good PC based Volt meter to monitor charger. I want to monitor -Dv on charger system. There has been a few threads with graphs but the device (meter) used was not listed.

I believe in many cases people are using a Radio Shack digital multimeter that has an RS232 computer interface and the software that comes with it. The meter appears to cost about $70 or so, and I have been considering whether to get one myself.

The downside is that the software might be a little limited in what you can do with it.

There are several units available. Some DMMs have a port to connect your PC.
Basically you want a data logger. Something that will measure and record a voltage over time. Something more than that can be had in the form of a USB oscilloscope ($200).
See eBay under "USB Oscilloscope"
For a USB connected DMM see eBay item number: 190204781074

Here is a graph of a system called Meter View V1.0
Anyone know what hardware was used ?
