PD + XPE or GD Plus?

Has anyone tried putting an XP-E or a GD Plus emitter in the PD? If it works, does it work better with the McR-20 or the McR-20S?

DatiLED has done a GD+ in a LS20. He had to cut the dome off in order to work with the LS20 reflector, has a nice beam.

Never tried the GD+ with a McR-20 but I will know shortly how a DD will work with a McR-20.
