Robocop
Mammoth Killer
I have been playing around with some crude run time tests just for fun and noticed some interesting results.I am using the rechargeable Energizer AAAs at a rating of 850mAh for power. My test lights are an Arc AAA standard,Arc AAA Premium,Peak 1 LED AAA prototype lug body light and one of the Peak 3 LED AAA lug body.
I used fresh cells in each and turned them all on at the same time.I fell asleep and woke about 7 hours later to find the two Peaks still going pretty strong with both ARCs showing almost no light at all.I thought for sure the 3 LED version would give out first yet it was still hanging in there. The single LED Peak showed almost no change...at least to my eyes.I remember reading how Peak ran their LEDs at a lower current for better run time and less strain on the LEDs.Both of these are supposed to be the high power option with the snow LEDs so how are they beating the ARC lights so easily?.....Is there really that much difference between the Peak boards and the ARCs?....I am planning on a new test with the AAA Lithiums and I am sure the run times will be much longer however can only guess that the Peaks will again come out on top.Can anyone tell me if my observations are a limited experience or are my findings in line with other Peak owners.
