Pelican M6 Q\'s??

How does the brightness and throw of the Pelican M6 led compare to these lights? M*g 2D, 3D, SF G2 with P60 lamp.

Re: Pelican M6 Q\'s??

I don't know much about this light, but i can tell you that it will blow the mags away in terms of total output.

Re: Pelican M6 Q\'s??

For throw M6 led is the least thrower.
As StEaLtH mentioned the total output of M6 led is more useful than Mag Ds.
M6 led can't beat P60s in brightness and throw..

Re: Pelican M6 Q\'s??

All in all, the M6 LED is a good light at a good price /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
It's a bit large for a 1 Watter but has good runtime (around 4 hours if I am not mistaken). The LED's tint is also very white.

Re: Pelican M6 Q\'s??

may be the least thrower, but is very close to the 2d when i tested. but as joseph said, it's more usefull, so much smaller, and whiter.....

As I tested it, the Pelican M6 LED has a runtime to 50% intensity of 2 hours, and to 10% intensity of just over 3 hours.
My page about the M6 LED is right here if you're interested.

Re: Pelican M6 Q\'s??

The PM6 has pretty good throw....I have been testing mine every night for the last month or so. I can scan our fields and light up wildlife at 75 yards or so. It's enough to put it in the lower tactical category for me. However, the pure white color of the beam is not ideal for distinguishing detail at distance. For medium range it's fantastic.

The Surefire G2 w P60 lamp will blow the PM6 led away in terms of long-throw utility. However the Pelican with incandescent will blow away both the PM6 led and the Surefire G2/P60.

Re: Pelican M6 Q\'s??

Thanks all. I ask because I was made an offer to but a 3w 2x123 and the seller told me it is brighter and has more throw than his PM6. For my self, when it comes to comparisons, I prefer side by side performance measures of know lights. I use a G2 with P60 at work and was thinking of getting an led that would at least come close to its output/throw. I know that it will not beat an incan, but the thought of longer batt life and no bulb/LA changes is appealing. I would require a light that puts out at least as much as a m-g 2D, 3D would be better, but I can compromise.

As for the PM6 with incan, how much do spare lamps cost?
