Petzl Duo Headlamp Replacement

I own an Petzl Duo Headlamp 4AA. I was in REI the other day and they had a replacement with a 5 led array.

Has anyone tried it. I was wondering if it is worth buying.

It replaces the standard bulb, only. Not the halogen. So you still have the battery killer of the halogen bulb. Petzl has 2 LED modules for the Duo.

I have Zoom Adapter and MegaBelt.

I think you aught to spend the extra bucks and get the Petzl 8 LED one. Its regulated and has 3 different light levels. The 5 LED one just uses resistors. Where is the fun in that?

As soon as my REI co-op rebate check comes in I'm going to buy one myself.

I'm trying to convince myself I don't need an A2. Thankgod Surefire doesn't make Headlamps.

Ummm.... Dammit I wish surefire made headlamps!
