I have a few Philips led bulbs and I decided to open one up thinking there would be some rebels in there but I was confused when I saw what looks like some xpg's. Do you guys think Philips would use Cree chips?????

Kind of like how the Sony VAIOs use Sanyo cells in their batteries, because although they also make Li-Ions, sanyos are better? Iono, that's strange. Got pics of the bulb or packaging? Maybe you got a well made counterfeit or knockoff, similar to how ____fire lights often have decent Cree LEDs in 'em.

Dam can't get the picture to show... this is harder than soldering smt leds. So these are xpgs, their warm white and i measured the current and it's 400ma in a series of 8. The supply voltage is in the 22's. I just might desolder some and mode my cool white xre p60 pill:devil:? I'm wondering if these are under driven because of heat issues.
