I am somewhat clueless as to where to post this, it's a watch so it should go to the Gadgets, it has LED's which makes it an LED section thread and then it's about lights.

Found this pimplight while doing a search for something else. I don't have a clue what the description says but the method of displaying the time is pretty cool. Everything fractioned down into dots! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/buttrock.gif

Problem is, by the time you've deciphered it, the time would no longer be accurate.

Blending of 1970 style and near future design!
This display time with LED lights.
It is design watch remembered of 70's Sci-Fi movie and near-future design of 70.
The impact put on arm must be very big! Use LED light popular in 70 make like watch in Sci-Fi movie.

How to read time
Pressing button on up right and LED turn on. Line on left display hour, and other small light show minute. Normally, unless press button, light is off so you can not tell time. When you want know time, press button and you will know time.

It is maybe big watch, and if put on arm, very solid and sensation of presence.
Because this, big impact to eye! Maybe too much impact!
And how to read time, maybe you are muddled up I think. One light for one minute, so [58 minute is 58 light]. This design maybe you like, but maybe you hate.

I seem to remember these are made by a British company. Or European atleast. There is an english language website for it somewhere...

You are very welcome K-T. This watch made me laugh out at first but the more I look at it, the more I am impressed. Can't find the same model on the above URL. Yes I like the 70's look. I saw Star Wars when I was 9 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oh wow. I guess I should have tried again, when the page didn't load for me at first. I just got it to load and that's very different from the Solsuno watch. My mistake.
Still... That watch looks insane!

I think I figured out the display system of that pimp watch in the first post. The time displayed in the photo is 1:36 (no am or pm indicator). Just imagine a round clock dial layed out in a straight line. The hour is the leftmost column of LEDs. The array to the right is arranged in 12 rows of 5. The LEDs light sequentially from bottom left to top right, one for each minute. You don't count each light, but rather note the row (eighth row is the range from just after the 7 on the clock dial, first LED of eighth row is same as a minute hand pointing to the first hack mark following 7 on clock dial). Still not as hard to read as the binary display clocks that programmer geeks are fond of having in their cubicals

I own a Pimp watch if anyone has questions. I have the Star Performer, which is easier to read. I found it through a link on Gismodo.
