I can't reach them either. Bummer, cause I ordered some lights from them (got an email a few days ago saying that they had shipped).

OK. Just got off the phone with Dave. Pocketlights and all the other sites are fine - he just changed ISPs and the DNS tables need to propigate throughout the net. It should be back up by monday at the latest - DONT WORRY he's still in business - just an internet glitch!

His new IP addy may have been used for some, eh, forbidden type of site that was blocked by Adelphia. Maybe you could call them or email them and give them the news and see if you can get it, Bill.
I have only ordered from them once, and service was fantastic. Sadly, a good part of this year will be scrounging enough money for more of DSpecks fine work, so other ordering is off limits for a while. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Finally! I can get there now. Must have been extremely slow DNS propagation.
Charles, I've only ordered once too... but I've recommended him to a few friends who did well (I followed up), so I feel like I've actually placed 5 orders.
(FWIW, Adelphia does not impress me; but it's the only high speed access in my area)

It sure impresses me. When I first got Adelphia, I was getting maximum speeds of around 120k/sec and 12k/sec upload, with frequent outages. Now, I see over 340k/sec down and around 20k/sec upload, and I can't remember the last outage. It pretty much destroys DSL in this area.

I can't complain about the speed at all, it's the slow email and intermittent 10 minute outages (maybe 1 a week that I know about) and bad DNS that bugs me.
Just for grins, I just ran 2 speed tests on 2 different servers on dslreports.com. They showed me at 107kbps and 127kbps up, and 1437kbps and 1124kbps down. Of course, this is at 2 AM - daytime speeds are slower. Adelphia recently purchased my small local cable company, that probably has something to do with it.
