I’ve googled but have not found too much. I know there’s a lot of Polarion Searchlights out there!
Battery or parts availability?

In korea, polarion alive still. And polarion square building is landmark place of gyonggi whasung. (Name ofbkorea : 경기도 화성시)

I am not familiar with Polarion in other regions.

One thing is certain: in Korea, Polarion remains a robust, ultra-high-performance flashlight product, and various tips, such as high-capacity battery tuning and brightness enhancement through overclocking, are being passed down from a few people, including myself.

This is great to hear! Thank-you for the reply.
Have friend who needs a battery for his Abyss .

Miss my PH40… hoping to get a PH50D someday.

If necessary, I can inquire with Polarion Korea on your behalf : 1. Availability of international shipping, 2. Desired battery or flashlight model, and various other details.

You need?

This is my abyss dual.
(60w power-up tuning applied. Polarion, does not offer power-up tuning, but I personally performed it)

Appreciate the offer! Still hoping their is a US connection somewhere out there. Used to be a guy in conneticut.

If nothing pans out I’ll keep you in mind and I’ll pass the info to my buddy that has the Abyss issue!

60Watt Abyss……outstanding!👍

If you need my assistance, please leave a reply. I will contact the Polarion headquarters in South Korea on your behalf.

We are currently working on the 21700 Polarion Project, but... maxa beam : RE MaXa Project will proceed very slowly until it is completed.

About 60W :
polarion ballast efficiency is near 90%. So if try overdrive the lamp, you may add +10~12% more power.

Hmm.
I have the abyss.
Overclocking, how hard is that to do?
Any long term damage to it by upping it to 60w?

1. Although the difficulty level is easy, it requires toxic chemicals and knowledge of electronics DIY. (The potentiometer may need to be replaced if damaged.)

2. ballast and lamp can actually handle a significantly larger capacity than expected. The problem is the battery. When a Polarion overclocked to 60W or higher is operated in a warm indoor environment, the stock battery's protection circuit can overheat and completely fail. (It must be used only outdoors, as air flows freely.)

This applies not only to the Abyss but to all Polarions. I overclocked an X1 model to near 100W, and the battery protection circuit failed in less than 15 minutes indoors.

A 70W overclocked model (X1 + Abyss style modification) had been fine outdoors for several months, but the battery protection circuit failed after I accidentally operated it next to a warm heater.

The Abyss 60W I am currently using is a model equipped with a separate 4S BMS.

3. If need....super overclock polarion....

Warning: You bear full responsibility. Used Polarion flashlights traded in South Korea are unexpectedly very cheap (100–300 USD per unit). Alternatively, you might attempt overclocking recklessly because you can purchase ballast parts for a surprisingly lower price than buying a new flashlight (around 150–170 USD...?). If you do not have the confidence to do so, do not do it. I take no responsibility.
