Potential CFL issue

My company is currently importing Feit CFl's with our lamps, and we have been looking hard at changing to Longstar or even Top Luck. As lighting experts and consumers, would this switch negtively affect your view on a potential product? Thse of you familir with CFL's is Feit that much of a superior bulb? Any feedback is more than appreciated!​

I can only give a half answer.

I've heard of Feit, and while they're not as recognizable as say GE, Philips, Sylvania, they seem to make a quality product at a very competitive price.

I've never heard of Longstar or Top Luck - they sound like ebay "brands."

Hopefully the lamp design and the quality of the build will sell the fixture while the included bulb is just considered a bonus. I would not make a purchase descision on a lamp based on the included bulb.

Well.... we have a few old timers in our work. They refuse to buy anything but Alto bulbs- even shunning GE. While we don't use CFLs anywhere but in my lab, I would not pick a brand that said "Top Luck" - no name, no warranty. Not that we return these on warranty anyway.

I haven't had a long life out of any CFL's that I own. And, Feit have been the worse. So, if your company wants to risk other brands, monitor failure rates and adjust suppliers as needed.

If this is imply a financial move to a cheaper bulb, with a true study of what you might not be saving, then stick with what you have.
