Hi,

I have a power bank which the original battery, 10k mah, has blotted, and I manage to retrieve the charging board; it has qualcomm3 charging.

I am wondering, can I put in 3/4 18650 batteries to carry on using it? If yes, how shall I connect them, in parallel or series? To use protected or unprotected battery?

Regards.

Does the rescued board to charging only, or does it also control output? If it controls the output, then unprotected cells.

Was this a USB output power bank. If so, there has to be some circuitry somewhere to up the output voltage to 5v. That circuit should also handle low voltage, shorts, etc. There is a good video on YouTube that shows how to build your own power bank.
