Power modules....?

At the bottom of the following link, after where it says "Laser Power Supplies" I found some interesting ways of powering single modules - being very new to this, can anyone tell me if these seem good? I don't quite understand if you need a power supply -and- power driver or what....? There's a 3V power supply, a power driver, and a cool battery thing that lets you clamp on to the leads and test it out.... Thanks for any help.

I say go with the variable power one from Axis on eBay. I just bought one now... :grin2: I found a direct deposit I was unaware of... :lolsign:

Those are laser modules, with the laser diode driver boards already incorporated into them, so all you need is a battery to power them. The current (or power) regulation is carried by the builtin electronics. Much like a pointer. Just insert batteries and voilà :naughty:.

You mean this one? It actually plugs into that wall. I think the plug is bigger than the whole module. :grin2:
