Powerful broad beam alternatives

Any suggeestions for a powerful broad beam flashlight which is not as expensive as the L4?

Thanks, Checked the thread and got some ideas. Already have a SL4AALED and was looking for something a bit smaller. I'll keep my eyes peeled on the forum for some more "bright" ideas.
