Powerful LED's or bezel/reflectors affect lights?..

We now see so many different lights being switched to more powerful LEDs, but what affects individual models more the LEDs or bezel/reflectors?

How do we see the major differences with so many lights that pack Crees, P4s or Rebels.. Certain incans are known for being throwers and some mid range to flood. With LED lights they all seem to be in similar categories, either floody, or mid range with same size hot spots etc..

if You have never seen a Cree @ 1A in a Sandwich Shoppe McR 19 mm reflector, You have not seen the best.
The differences are devastating

f.e. a Q2 with the 17mm McR seems just a bit brighter than an Inova T2 (old model),
while a P4 with the 19mm rules them both in throw and medium flood.
(with no interest in throw at all - thats aspheric territory, but even their beam dot looks awful. Useless for anything else than throw)

It sounds like you have exactly zero experience with aspheric mags.
