preon 2 flicker

anone else have flickering with their preon 2 when using alkaline primaries? Seems like it goes away after the light warms up though. Also, seems to happen mostly with cheaper brands (like the cheesy off brand batteries I get for free at work).
I think it's best to stick with high quality batteries in this light.
Anyone known if lithium primary AAAs (ex. energizer) have the same extreme temperature tolerance, shelf life, flat discharge as their bigger brothers such as the CR2, CR123s?

I have the same flicker, that goes away when the light warms up. I am using Energizer NiMH rechargables. Low and high work fine, but when I go from low to medium for the first time, it will flicker for about 3 seconds before staying on. I emailed 4sevens about it and they told me to make sure everythings screwed down tight, and to clean threads and contacts which I did, but still nothing. At one point the light wouldnt turn on at all. I believe 4sevens is going to send me a replacement. I really like this light.
