Does anybody have an opinion on the Princeton Tec Eclipse? I have looked but can find no official review on it, and the PT site is very vague. Can anyone compare it to the Photon III (which I do like) ?

thanks for any opinions

Though I don't have a Photon III to compare it with, it is however brighter than my ARC AAA initially. But for sure, it won't stay that bright for a long time. It is relatively bigger than my Photon II. Overall, it's a nice light and IMO, more practical and economical than Photon III.

I think that eclipse is big, too.
But, that switch is easy to use.
The mode changes by the number of times that it was pushed within two seconds.
High > Medium > Low > Slow-Flash > Fast-Flash.
It becomes off if a switch is pushed once after lighting.

It becomes off when a finger is left after it keeps pushing it for more than two seconds.
That is good because it is easy.

The Princeton Tec Eclipse is a little big for a keychain light but is very lightweight. It weighs half an ounce.

Positives<ul type="square">
[*]Waterproof
[*]-- Five switch settings: high, medium, low and slow and fast blinking mode
[*]Light automatically shuts off after 7.5 minutes
[*]Long battery life -- 12 hrs. on high, 24 hrs. on medium, 36 hrs. on low
[*]Light detaches from clip
[*]Lifetime warranty
Negatives <ul type="square">
[*]Large size compared to other LED keychain lights
I also have a couple of these which should be up pretty soon. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
Then again, I have a few lights ahead of the Eclipse, so you might beat me to it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
