Problem with my Quark AA-2 :(

Hi all,
Something that is very inconvenient for me when operating my Quark AA-2 is that when I turn the light off and wait for three seconds, just like the manual states, the light does not revert back to the first output mode! I have even Mississippi-counted to 5 seconds and it simply advances to the next mode when I switch it back on! What's wrong, and has anyone else experienced this? Any input or helpful comments are appreciated :)

It is my experience, that with the low voltage head 0.9-4-2 volt you need to wait about 10 seconds if used with anything higher voltage than 1.5 volt. So with two AAs I think you'll need to wait 10 sec.
