problem with ultrafire fixed... it was a tail cap issue

Hi everyone,

So I have come across a problem where my ultrafire (wf501b 510 lumen) will turn off on strobe or sos mode. It will blink for about 1 or 2 seconds and then turn off. The other modes work fine. (I use the strobe mode at night on my bike.)

I did a few searches and read through the sticky up top, but can't find a solution. I tightened the tail cap and cleaned up the drop in the best I can. I also switched out the battery to see if that would do anything... I get the feeling this has to do with the driver?

Does anyone have any advice?

alrighty. i took off the tailcap. i then took a screw driver and tapped the battery to the body 4 times to get it in strobe mode. the strobe works! so now it appears i have a bad tail cap.... dang

edit: i proceeded to loosen the tailcap instead of tightening it... now the strobe works! wow... sorry for the thread.... but im glad i figured it out.
