Projects using MC-E and P7 with Optic lense?

I am thinking about a mod project using an MC-E AT 1400mah and a Khatod PL124406 optic lens. Its a 12 degree lens... here...

Has anyone used one of these before? Project goals are maximum thermal and optical efficiency and beam quality... max lumen output per watt consumed.
