Purchasing Pila IBC From Flashlightz.com?

I hope this is the proper board for this question...

On February 6, 2012, I purchased a Pila IBC Charger from FlashLightz.com. The following day I received an email stating they were backordered and will ship the week of March 5, 2012.

On Wednesday, March 7, 2012, I emailed them requesting an update as there has been no notice of shipment.

Their reply, “Pila is located in Hong Kong so it will take a few days to arrive here in Indiana. My supervisor said it usually only takes 2-3 days to arrive so we should receive new stock Friday or Monday. As soon as we receive we will ship all backorders ASAP.”

My concern is it only takes two or three days to ship from Hong Kong to Indiana and yet I’ve been waiting for over a month!

Has anyone dealt with this company?

Should I cut my losses and buy from someone else like LightHound.com? Or should I hang in there and trust them?

You should be looking at 2-3 weeks to receive a shipment from Hong Kong to the lower 48 AFTER its shipped.

Its not uncommon for it to take up to a month for HK shipments to USA.

Don't know what you paid for, but thats how standard post is. Did you pay for special fast delivery? I have purchased many things from HK on ebay and other sites and it takes weeks always.

I was going to purchase directly from Pila USA, the North American supplier of this wonderful product. They informed me that they were out and would not get any more until April. Pila USA suggested I look elsewhere if I wanted it faster. I went with Lighthound as they had stock. [Too bad for me because Pila USA eats the shipping cost, would have saved me $29]
Lighthound was great, quick shipping.
But to your issue, maybe your guys are behind the 8 ball with back order issues and it may take a while. If Pila USA is waiting until April, who knows. Good Luck! Worth the wait though.
