Good evening, fellow Peakaholics.

I've been a bit absent in Peakland as of late, for which I apologize, but am still loyal. My Eiger #4 SS knurled/narrow/cool/pocket body is still my favorite EDC light of all time.

I'm wondering if anyone has the scoop on the Pyrenees line?

Thanks,

Andrew

It's good to hear from you.

Don't have one yet, but the Pyrenees promises to be a very interesting light! Much prefer its XPG over the P7 because of the superior beam quality and added throw. Also like the battery compartment options for improved runtime. And the Judco momentary/clicky grows on you - I've been using one on a 2XAA Caribbean/Logan and really love this switch. The Pyrenees seems to be something of a little brother to the Night Patrol 300 and could really fit in well as a backup for duty use. A bit bigger than the Eiger, however.

Thanks, Walter. You always know your Peaks!

Looking at RMSK, it says the Pyrenees will handle a CR123A/RCR123A, an 18350, or (w/optional tube) an 18500. I confess my ignorance---what is an 18350 cell? I don't believe I've come across that size in my flashlight travels.

Cheers,

Andrew

MW nope the CR size body in the Logan and Rainier will not fit an 18 series battery.
they are 16mm not 18mm. In the mountain series lights only Pyrenees, K2, and Everest
will work with an 18 series battery.

Hey AF- did you pick up a Logan- the smaller diameter head makes it much more pocketable IMO than the earlier single CR123 Peak offerings.

Hi, RC. No, no Logan yet for me, but it does look nice. In fact, there seems to be a real Peak renaissance going on at present, which makes me happy for Robyn and Curt and all the good people at Peak---lots of new and tempting models.

Unfortunately, I'm suffering from "low flashlight budget" syndrome at the moment, so most of my thrills are vicarious. But that's OK, I'm still having fun, and I still love my Peaks!
