Looks very nice. I am using a pair of ultrafire torches with XML T6s and they knock my olf hope 2s into a cocked hat. But the build quality / reliability is not there and riding down really rocky descents in lakes causes the ultrafires to go down to a lower power setting so the Hope is a great back up.

Wow, that's crazy.
Good job, I feel sorry for the people going the other way on the trail.
Can you turn it down to a lower setting??
Chris

This is great! What's the power source? Do you have a generator turned by the wheels to recharge the batteries as you go?

Interesting setup. Awfully large flood. I've often thought that multi-led lights could be preset (offset vertically) to offer various amounts of throw as power consumption was increased.

It would seem turning this unit on it's side could achieve that result.

Cheers Guys .

Update on this light it has been reworked now to improve throw a little and consume a little less power .
the power was not a problem as I have a 7 amp hour 15 volt battery and my legs fail before the battery does .

all the XML leds were removed and the case reworked slightly tp fit in a couple of Ledil Laura RS optics

also added were 2 XPG leds as a parallel string in series with the XMLs so when the xmls get 3 amps the xpgs get 1.5 amps each
the idea is the xpgs and Regina reflectors will throw better and the Lauras/XMLs will give some spill and throw .

Are you thinking of selling these? My wife and I hit the trails and night ride at least a couple times week.

Honestly, I like the original design better with quad XM-L....you making these to sell? If so, how much?

Hi Trout.
Very nice unit. Congratulations.
As much as I enjoy building ugly lights for my MTB I'd be very tempted to buy one of yours if you ever decided to build a batch especially if you included a remotr mode switch - it just looks like such a nice unit (apart from a superb light).

Where did you get the lenses from? I'm having trouble getting lenses for the XM-L emitters, I had intended on getting them from Farnell but they put a minimum order value back on and I really don't need to spend £20 there...
