i just recieved the Quark 1232 Turbo X. Not in love with it however it will work for me.
The problem is while using RCR123s it wont program. Programming can only be done
with primary 123s.Has anyone else had this experience?:(

Sounds like somethings wrong with either your batteries or your light - I have one running 2x14500s and it works perfectly....one of my favorite lights.

I tested it with 1x14500 and it also seems to work fine. Wtih 2xEneloops, it only has 2 brightness levels (low and medium) although all 8 "modes" are there and programmable - it's good to know it'll put light out on common batts in an emergency.

I have no RCR123s/16340s though - don't like the format, it's too limiting.

Sounds like a battery geometry issue. Try these steps:

1. Tighten the little ring in the tailcap. Needlenose pliers are good for this.
2. Take the tailcap off and get a graphite pencil. Put 2x123 in and mark where the back of the cell is, then do the same with 2xRCR123. Same height? Great! No? Hrm. A spacer or a spring stretch may be in order. Be gentle with the spring, or smart about spacers.
3. For good measure, clean contact points (The flat, shiny ENDS of the body tube; along with the inside of the tailcap and the contact ring and center point on the head).

All good? Yay. No? More details.

i trie cleaning and adjusting the tail ring in several positions from tight to full turn and no luck

hey i got it... still needs a little tweeking, the turbo head on such a small body isnt so great.
thanks anapplesnail
