So I am now the proud owner of a quark AA. My first serious flashlight and I absolutely LOVE this thing.

I did some searching through the forums and didnt see this problem, so I apologize in advance if this has been addressed before.

I wanted to know how my light worked. So I took it apart, back together. Now moonlight mode/the other modes when you do a quarter turn of the bezel dont work.

Nothing fell out during diss assembly, I have no idea. moonlight and the other modes worked perfectly before diss assembly.

Other question what is the white paste on the threads under the bezel? I want to take care of this light keep up maintenance and what not but I am very wet behind the ears so to speak when it comes to nice lights.

Thank you all for your time.

The white paste should be thermal paste that allows heat from the emitter and heatsink to transfer to the aluminum body.

As for the mode not changing... Do you have the Regular or Tactical?

so I cleaned the threads and still no moonligt or other modes

jusy max and strobe

=(

It sounds like it is behaving as if the bezel is still tight. What did you do when you disassembled it? Have you tried unscrewing the bezel as far as it will go before not being able to switch on?
