Quark problem

Finally got around to ordering a Quark AA and with much anticipation I received it in the mail today. The fit and finish is excellent and the operation is simple with the firm clicky. Unfortunately, it appears the Beacon Mode is defective. All other modes work fine, but when I enter the Beacon Mode it flashes six times then dies. When I click the switch again the modes recycle fine but the Beacon Mode always dies on the sixth flash (stays off).

Anyone else experience this problem?

Just wait for it...

It flashes a few times to let you know it is in beacon mode. Then it settles in to the actual beacon pattern, which is only 1 flash every ~10 seconds. Too slow IMHO, but that's the way it works.

Beacon mode flashes six times to tell you it has activated then flashes once every 10 seconds to act as a beacon . just wait for the 7th flash

I'm fairly sure there is a 12 second break or something between cycles.

Many people have said similar things, to your post.

Roger that. Strange how the sixth flash slowly dims to off.
