Question about a Supernight 13000 Lumen Flashlight!

I am thinking about getting one of these just because of the price. I normally do not use multi Lithium Ion lights, but may get this nevertheless! The model I am looking at has 12 Cree T6 LEDS and is powered by 3 26650's or 18650's. It is advertised as 13000 lumens, but I am sure this is exaggerated!! Considering my brightest light right now is a Fenix TK70 that puts out "only" 2200 lumens, how many do you think this light realistically will put out? It is only $68.00 but looks well made. I would put a link to it here, but I am not sure that is allowed!

3 x 26650!? That is effectively a Bangalore torpedo in your hands should something go wrong. You sure about that?
 
You said it right mikekoz. No way any flashlight running off 3x 26650 or 18650s is going to put out that many lumens safely, if at all. Think about it... I'd say 12+ 18650s (with protection) are needed to hit that sort of output (Think Elektro Lumens Kong, but that's in a different price range altogether).

$68 or not, don't risk it. :poof:

I know, I was just thinking if it put out just half that much light, it would still be brighter than what I have now. I would not store it with the batteries in it, and I would use protected cells. I was just thinking about gettting it just as an impulse buy, but I think I will save my $$$ for something else. Thank you for your response!

LOL...Bangalore torpedo! That is funny!!:crackup: I think I am going to pass on it. I would probably never use it and it would be a waste of money. Thanks! I am going to have to remember "Bangalore Torepedo" though!!
