Question about battery drain?

I purchased a JETBeam RRT-3 XML and have had it for about 2 weeks. Tonight while using it the batteries finally gave out and need to be recharged (JETBeam 18650 2300mAh). When I checked them on my multimeter 2 of the 3 were showing about 3.2v and the other was showing 0.00. Is this how multiple battery flashlights drain the batteries? I was expecting to see all 3 batteries about out of juice and not just 1? Thanks for the help!

3.2v is nearly depleted I believe. Most likely the batteries were slightly mismatched and one was weaker than the other two and drained to zero before they could be completely depleted.

The one that's showing 0.00V is most likely damaged. Be careful charging it. You might want to look into getting some protected cells, especially ones you use in series together.

OK, looks like they are protected, so the protection circuitry has probably just kicked in.
