Question about Ultrafire and Trustfire Protected 16340s

Hey guys, I have a question about these two cells. They are both offered at DX and I was wondering if there were any difference between the two cells? The Trustfire's measure at 34.91mm (according to pictures from DX) but don't seem to include the nipple at the positive terminal. Does the 16340 measurement imply the nipple is measured too in the 34mm or no? And the Ultrafire's seem to measure 36.09mm (according to pictures from DX) but that seems to include the extra clear packaging? And I don't know if they are including the nipple as well. What I am looking for is basically the shortest one that is protected (and cheap) because I am going to be using a flashlight that takes 3 or 4 cells. Thanks guys.
