Question on L1-KL1

Can someone tell me which is the difference in brightness/runtime between the SF-L1 and KL1? as both of them are the new 3 watt 2004 version /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I would like to know also since both my L1 and KL1 are the OLD versions. I have been looking at the new versions of each but have not seen a comparison to evaluate the improvements. The only thing that I have picked up so far is that the new KL1 is now a brighter, pencil-beam, throw machine. No info on the new L1. My old L1 is anemic at best on low, and about the same as the old KL1 on high. Any info would be appreciated.

I have an E1 with the new KL1 and it is bright. It is a spot rather than a flood. The spot it casts at 50 feet seems as bright as the spot from the L4. Of course the L4 casts much more spill as well.
