Quick question

Recently I used my scorpion to look around in the basement of an old house, and all of a sudden the light dimmed to about 25% of the power it was running at seconds before. Within a minute or so the light was completely dead.
The strange part is that one cell was completely dead, the other still had quite a bit of juice left in it, plenty to run both the LED’s and Xenon on my 1L Twin-Task. Both the batteries were new and from the same package when I originally put them in the scorpion quite some time ago. Is it common for one cell to drain quicker than the other?

It is very likely that you had a weak battery to start with.

Certain brand of batteries tend to suffer pre-mature death. You may have gotten a bad batch.

Thats what I thought, the batteries were Energizer E2 photo cells. I forgot how bright the scorpion was with new batteries! Thanks for the replies!
