R123\'s and all my lights

Ever since I got these R123's (4.2 v each from JS
Burly) I have been interchanging all my Surefire parts around.
I initially ordered a set of Jon's R123's to use two in my Surefire 6P with the P90 9 volt bulb. It as bright as my 8NX in a much smaller form factor. The R123's really renewed my interest in my 6P. Here's the setup.

But now I find myself using one of these new batteries in my E1 bodies with a KL4 and KL1 head.

I think I now need many more of these rechargables to keep myself going. The R123 works great with the KL4 head. As many of you already know, the L4 runs happiest with 6 volts. Two lithium 123's seem to provide the best brightness and run time. The single R123 provides 4.2 volts (nearly 1.5 times their lithium counterparts) and the L4/KL4 head runs near as bright this single rechargeable. Jon, when you get some more in stock I am really going to need many more. The arrival of these has really renewed my interest in my lights.

Thats one worn out R123 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif do you experience shorts with those R123? The skin looks metallic to me. Mine's still as new.

If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, please head to Microsoft Powertoys for Windows XP and download the Image Resizer.

Once you have it installed, Right click on any image to resize. It's pretty handy. If you don't have XP then there are many image resizer around. Keep the image size down I think the authorities here don't like images with world class photography resolutions /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Thanks koala.
Believe it or not those are BRAND NEW R123's from JS Burly.
After I received them I sent him an email letting him know that the cells he sent me looked pretty beat up. So far, I have not gotten a reply. I would like to get more. I like the way they work so far but quality control appears poor.
