RAYOVAC CR-123 date codes

Does anyone know how to read ROV CR-123 date codes? I bought a bulk (40 cells) quantity of of ROV CR-123 cells from an online supplier which measure only 40 to 60% capacity on my ZTS. The cells all bear the same stamped code "OYYO" maybe "0YY0" does anyone know how to turn this code into a useful date?

Is this a joke, a guess or is it for real? I want to complain to the seller but I don't want to look like an idiot. These cells act like they are MUCH older.

It's too bad they don't use one set of codes for all their cells. I have some Rayovac AAA cells and that date code scheme does not work on them.

Surprising that you got that performance - I have always had good performance from the 100 or so rayovacs that I have been through.

Maybe they are hibernating - run them at 1A for a short time and they may recover and have full capacity.

to find the current CPF Special page. Currently it's

and the RoV code is at the bottom.
