For work I picked up a light I wouldn't mind losing. At $15 retail with a 1" smooth reflector this fit the bill. Looks like an xp-e, decently white (not as pretty as my 5A tint), with ANSI 100 and 18 lumen output. Build is sturdy, rubberized ends and "aluminum-titanium" alloy body. If you've never had lights with a smooth reflector, get it!

Mine was from home depot and my boss dislikes it on principal for being LED.

really loving this light - I'd do a review, but just can't find the time or writing skills... The regulation is VERY similar to an Icon light (Rogue, Modus, etc) in that after a certain amount of time, it starts to progressively cut back output via PWM. Otherwise, a solid light and a solid deal at $15 (also picked mine up at HD).
Another thing to note is that the head/lens assembly is a solid, cup-shaped, threaded piece of plastic that is screwed on and threadlocked with plenty of glue and wrapped in thick rubber. the tailcap is made out of the same type of clear plastic wrapped in rubber - I'm curious to see how this design holds up to abuse.
Anyway, I plan on picking up a few for random christmas gifts.
