RC-C6 with modes & R5 Emitter?

Ok...

Noobie wanting to do a budget mod to a budget flood-to-thrower.

At the moment, I have an Romisen RC-C6.
I bought a DX emitter (Q5) and replaced the original Q3.

My friend saw this light and asked, if I could make it a bit more effective with modes. Suuure...


So, I started looking around.
DX sells R5 emitter for 6.80$ (sku.44305), 14mm base. Could this be a good upgrade to Q5, will it work with aspheric?


I have now a one mode driver (sku.25505) which I´m planning to try with R5.
Needs to be grinded down from 16.7mm -> ~15mm in diameter.




I could use:

- Suggestions for at least 2 mode driver, preferrably 3 mode. If possible, no disco-modes
...and where to get it.
- Do I need to do something else, clicky?
- Any tips and comments are welcome!!
