I ordered two AW 123's from Lighthound, but one of them doesn't work. When I put it in my Nitecore Extreme, it shuts off after 3 seconds. According to my DMM, it reads 4.06v. When I first got it, I threw it on the charger for 20 minutes to top it up (till the charger showed green). I called Lighthound, who are sending me a replacement free of charge, but I still want to know whats going on. Thanks, guys.

Simply put, sometimes these batteries are defective and you will never know the reason(s) why. I had the same problem and Lighthound also sent a replacement. They are really wonderful about things like this.

They are great. I offered to send the bad one back for inspection, but Andy said to just throw it out. Oh, well- maybe I'll take it apart...
