Define "more". I have seen it in some very high volume consumer level lights. Cree is a bit more efficient at least if you keep it a bit cooler, hence why you see in more extreme lights.

Thanks for the response, I was refering to extreme lights just didnt ask the question correctly. You answer makes sence. It seems the Rebel 100 is not the most efficient therefore its used less in the newer lights being made. The Cree seems to be the player right now.

I've been increasingly using Rebels for fixed installations because they are more readily available in the States and cheaper than Cree. I classify any white bin LED that has 100lpw as more than acceptable.

If you can do your own reflow work the Rebels get a LOT cheaper.
