rebel lens compatability

The rebel versions of the fenix lights seem to have the same reflectors as the cree. Does this mean that as long as it's centred correctly, most LED's will work with most lenses? I have a few rebels left over, but no small angle lenses to use them with. DX, etc. have lots of cheap cree lenses; would these work with my rebels?

I know it's true for reflectors and aspheric lenses, so I would bet it's the same for TIR optics, too.
